Cemented Carbide is made of hard compounds of refractory metals and bonding metals through powder metallurgy technology. It has excellent properties such as high hardness, wear resistance, good strength and toughness, heat resistance, and corrosion resistance. The polishing method is as follows:
1. Chemical polishing
Workpieces with complex shapes can be polished without complex equipment, and many workpieces can be polished at the same time. The key step is the preparation of polishing liquid.
2. Electropolishing
The effect is better than chemical polishing, and the surface is smoothed by selectively dissolving the tiny protrusions on the surface of the material. The polishing process is generally divided into two steps: macro leveling and micro light leveling
3. Ultrasonic polishing
The cemented carbide is put into the abrasive suspension and placed together in the ultrasonic field, relying on the oscillation of the ultrasonic wave, the abrasive is ground and polished on the surface of the cemented carbide. This method will not cause deformation of the cemented carbide, but it is more difficult to make and install the tooling. This method can be combined with chemical or electrochemical methods to facilitate the brightening of products.
4. Fluid polishing
Relying on the high-speed flowing liquid and the abrasive particles carried by it to scour the surface of the workpiece, so as to achieve the purpose of polishing. Commonly used methods include abrasive jet processing, liquid jet processing, hydrodynamic grinding, etc.
5. Magnetic grinding and polishing
Using magnetic abrasives to form abrasive brushes under the action of a magnetic field, the cemented carbide is ground. This method has high processing efficiency and good quality, and the processing conditions are easy to control.
