3%, 5%, 25% and 26% rhenium can be added to tungsten to form tungsten rhenium alloy. The wire material can be used for thermocouple wire and cathode wire of high temperature measurement. Adding 41% - 47.5% rhenium into molybdenum to form molybdenum rhenium alloy (nominal composition is 50% Mo + 50% RE). It has good high temperature ductility and is applied in electronic industry, nuclear industry and * * aerospace industry.

Rhenium is a rare metal element, located at the 75th position of the periodic table of elements, adjacent to tungsten (74). Rhenium is known for its melting point of 3180 ℃, which is the second refractory metal.
In the field of alloy, tungsten and molybdenum are the most combined metal elements with rhenium.
