Tungsten Rhenium Bar

Uses: Tungsten-rhenium alloy has good electrical properties, ductility and processability, and can be used for thermocouple temperature measurement in high temperature furnaces.

Applicable conditions: Use in vacuum, hydrogen, inert atmosphere, and its operating temperature range is 0 ~ 2300 ℃.

Non-uniform thermo-electromotive force: The non-uniform thermo-electromotive force of the entire coil (disk) of the positive or negative wire at 1200 ° C must not exceed 40-80 μV.

 

Tungsten rhenium bar is a solid solution strengthening alloy based on tungsten and rhenium. Rhenium content (mass fraction,%) commonly used in alloys is 3, 5, 10, 25 and 26. It is divided into low content W-Re alloy (re ≤ 5%) and high content W-Re alloy (re ≥ 15%). When the RE content in the alloy is more than 26%, the W-Re alloy will precipitate brittle phase.

The main processing materials of W-Re alloy are wire and sheet. Most of them are made of silk. They are mainly used as high temperature structural materials. ,


Tungsten rhenium alloy has better mechanical properties and ductility than pure tungsten, and high resistivity, so it has better processability and weldability. The tungsten rhenium alloy containing 3% rhenium can be used as the core metal for the filament, grid wire and direct heated cathode of electronic tube. The tungsten rhenium alloy containing thorium, namely thorium tungsten rhenium alloy, is used as the direct hot cathode of large-scale emission tube. Its performance is better than that of thorium tungsten cathode, and it is not easy to deform at high temperature.
