Overview

High Purity Tantalum Grounding Rings is a grounding device made of the special physical and chemical properties of tantalum. It is mainly used in electrical systems that require reliable grounding, corrosion resistance, and electromagnetic interference resistance in harsh environments.

Application

In electronic equipment, chemical pipelines, storage tanks, and other scenarios, static electricity is easily accumulated due to friction, induction, and other reasons. High Purity Tantalum Grounding Rings conduct static electricity to the ground through a low impedance path to avoid electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage to precision electronic components or safety hazards in flammable and explosive environments. In addition, Tantalum Grounding Rings can quickly conduct leakage current to the ground, reduce the potential of the equipment casing, and avoid the risk of electric shock.

Installation Point

① Before installation, confirm the environmental conditions, specification matching and material compatibility check, cut off the power supply of the equipment and release static electricity.

② Prepare installation tools in advance, including torque wrench, sandpaper, ground resistance tester, welding equipment, anti-loosening nut/washer, etc.

③ The grounding lead should use tantalum wire or copper-plated tantalum wire with sufficient cross-sectional area, and the path should be as short and straight as possible to avoid bending or winding.

④ In large equipment or pipeline systems, tantalum grounding rings should be installed every 10-15 meters, and tantalum belts should be used to bridge to prevent static electricity accumulation.

⑤ Discarded tantalum grounding rings are recyclable metals and need to be collected separately to avoid mixing with other metals and reduce recycling costs.
