  1. The purity of niobium is increased to above 99.95% by Electron beam melting or zone smelting technology
  2. The as-cast structure defects were eliminated and the grains were refined by the processes of cogging, upsetting and drawing at the high temperature of 1200-1400 °C.
  3. After hot rolling, the plate is thinned gradually to the required thickness of the disk by cold rolling (the precision can reach ± 0.005 mm) .
  4. Vacuum annealing should be carried out after cold working to eliminate internal stress and prevent deformation in use.
  5. EDM (Electrical discharge machining grinding) or ultra-precision grinding techniques are used to ensure that the finished product can meet the assembly requirements of optical-grade or superconducting devices.
  6. After the completion of all processing will be a comprehensive quality inspection to ensure that products meet international standards.
