Tungsten Fly Tying For Fishing are kind of a tungsten-based alloy (tungsten content is generally 80%~98%). A small amount of nickel, iron, copper, cobalt, molybdenum, chromium and other elements are added to the alloy material. The density of high specific gravity tungsten alloy is as high as 15.20~18.70g/cm3, also known as high specific gravity tungsten alloy or high density alloy material. Because tungsten alloys weigh more than twice as much as iron or steel.

A common process for preparing tungsten heavy alloys involves mixing the desired amount of tungsten, iron, nickel or copper powder, followed by cold pressing and liquid phase sintering to nearly full density. During the liquid phase treatment, the base tungsten alloy melts and brings some tungsten into the solution, forming a microstructure through which large tungsten particles (20-60 μm) are dispersed in the base alloy.
