Product Description
Military Tungsten Alloy Counterweight is usually composed of tungsten nickel iron, tungsten nickel copper and even tungsten nickel copper iron. Some tungsten alloys also add cobalt, molybdenum, cadmium and other metal elements. It can be made into any shape. High specific gravity tungsten alloy tubes are often used for nuclear shielding and counterweight of military products, such as shotgun, hunting gear, missile, armor piercing projectile, oil drill bit, etc.

The high density (16.5 ~ 19.00g/cc) is attributed to the tungsten content in heavy tungsten alloy between 90% and 98%. Nickel, iron and / or copper are used as metal binder base materials to fix fragile tungsten particles together, making tungsten alloys plastic and easy to process. Ferronickel is the most commonly used additive, and its ratio is 7Ni: 3Fe or 8ni: 2Fe (weight ratio).
Tungsten alloy tube has high density (60% higher than lead), good mechanical strength, low thermal expansion, good corrosion resistance, high radiation absorption capacity (higher than lead), simple economic cycle, high strength and high specific gravity. It is a suitable material for manufacturing radiation shielding parts. The high density tungsten alloy tube provides the same radiation shielding capacity as lead, while reducing the volume and thickness of the shielding container. Compared with lead and depleted uranium, tungsten alloy also has the advantages of non-toxic and pollution-free. High specific gravity tungsten alloy tubes are mainly used to shield medicine bottles and syringes.
In addition, due to the special properties of high density, high impact resistance and crack resistance, high specific gravity tungsten alloy is used as counterweight in oil drilling.
