Product Description

High Temperature Resistance 95WNiFe Tungsten Heavy Alloy Drill

Tungsten Heavy Alloy Drill is made of tungsten base (tungsten content is generally 80%~98%) and a small amount of nickel, iron, copper, cobalt, molybdenum, chromium and other elements. The density of high specific gravity tungsten alloy can reach 15.20 ~ 18.70g/cm3, also known as high specific gravity tungsten alloy or high density alloy material. Because tungsten alloy weighs more than twice as much as steel.

Introduction and Feature of Tungsten Heavy Alloy Drill

  1. Tungsten alloy has a series of excellent properties, high specific gravity: general specific gravity 16.5-18.75g/cm3, high strength: tensile strength 700-1000mpa, strong light absorption: 30-40% higher than general lead specific gravity, high thermal conductivity: mold 5 times that of steel; low thermal expansion coefficient: capacity is only 1/2/3/3 of steel, good electrical conductivity, resistance to welding and cutting.

  2. The usual method of making heavy tungsten alloys is to mix the desired tungsten, iron, nickel or copper powders and then cold press the liquid phase to near full density. During the liquid phase treatment, the melt of the base tungsten alloy melts, and part of the tungsten enters the solution, forming a microstructure of large tungsten particles (20 ~ 60μm) dispersed in the base alloy.

Application of Tungsten Heavy Alloy Drill

  • Tungsten heavy alloy drills are made of high gravity tungsten alloy. Further improve the wear resistance, hardness, strength and heat resistance of the alloy, and better ensure the consistency of the product. Because of these characteristics, the tungsten-iridium orifice has become an indispensable part of the equipment in the high-tech crystal glass industry.
