Iridium Wire is a special metal wire made of high-purity iridium (Ir). Due to its excellent high-temperature stability, corrosion resistance and mechanical strength, it is widely used in precision industrial fields under extreme environments such as electronic devices, high-temperature furnaces, optical crystal growth, aerospace, and glass manufacturing.

1. 2. Iridium wires are the ideal choice for heating elements and support wires in vacuum furnaces (such as single crystal growth furnaces in the semiconductor industry, which require high vacuum and impurity-free environments), as well as for high-temperature component wires in spacecraft (such as precision wires for satellite attitude control systems).
3. Process

① Through reduction reactions, purified iridium compounds are converted into metallic iridium, yielding high-purity iridium metal exceeding 99.9% purity.

② Melting is conducted under vacuum or inert gas protection, followed by cooling and shaping within specialised moulds to form cylindrical or cubic iridium ingots.

③ Typically requiring 10–20 drawing passes, the ingots are progressively drawn into fine wires of the required diameter. Annealing is performed after each drawing pass to enhance ductility.

④ Upon completion of drawing, the wire surface undergoes meticulous polishing to ensure smoothness and freedom from scratches, meeting high-precision application requirements.

⑤ Comprehensive quality inspection, dimensional accuracy testing, visual inspection, and performance assessments, including tensile strength, resistivity, and corrosion resistance, ensure product compliance with standards.

⑥ Sealed packaging in a dry environment prevents oxidation and moisture ingress, safeguarding product quality and storage stability.
